I’m Manohar Kuse — a roboticist by profession, a designer by instinct, and an avid water-sports enthusiast at heart. With a PhD in Robotics and years of experience in engineering and computer vision, I’ve spent my career solving complex problems and bringing ideas to life with precision and discipline.

Beyond the lab, the water has always been my second home. I’ve canoed, kayaked, and sailed across different parts of the world, and I hold both RYA Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper certifications. These experiences taught me to respect good design, understand how boats behave, and appreciate the joy that a well-crafted vessel can offer.

Kuse Boatworks is where those worlds come together.

From our workshop in Vasai, we design and build canoes with the same engineering mindset that guides my work in robotics. Every hull begins as a CAD model, is cut on CNC machines for perfect alignment and symmetry, and is then hand-built using high-quality fiberglass and modern composite techniques. This combination of digital precision and skilled craftsmanship ensures that every canoe we produce is strong, fair, durable, and consistent.

My philosophy is simple:

No jugaad. No shortcuts. Build it right, build it clean, and build it to last.

We keep our operation lean, focus on quality over volume, and handle every stage — from design to molds to finishing — proudly here in India. It’s proof that world-class small boats can be engineered and crafted locally with care, precision, and pride.
